Felix the Reaper was initially released for PC and consoles last year before Kong Orange and Daedalic Entertainment announced it would be heading for iOS this July. So, we don’t have to wait any longer as it has now arrived and is available as a premium title for Apple users.
Felix the Reaper will see players taking control of the titular character as he goes about killing people in the name of love. You see, his lady love is very much into people dying, so if that’s what Felix has to do to gain her attention, he’s more than happy to. But he’ll do it in his own unique way, by dancing while he does it.
Each level will see players faced with a grid-based platform where some of the squares will be fully lit whilst others will be hidden in shadow. Felix can only operate in the darkened areas so some of the puzzle-solving will focus on creating additional shadows for him to sneak about in.
This might involve moving a barrel on top of a crate so that shadow created by the objects is extended. Once Felix can move about free he’s then free to tinker with the different items scattered throughout the area, being able to set them up for an over the top murder.
This isn’t just a straight port of the PC and console versions of the game, however. Naturally, the controls have been adapted to better suit a touch screen but on top of that, many of the levels have been completely revised.
Felix the Reaper is available now over on the App Store where it’s a premium game that costs $3.99. There’s currently no word on whether the game will make the jump over to Android, however, but if you’re interested it’s also available on Steam and Nintendo eShop.
